Union Minister Smriti Irani Sends Legal Notice to Congress Leaders

New Delhi, 26th July. Smriti Irani, the Union Minister and senior BJP leader, has issued a legal notice to Congress leaders in response to the allegation made against her daughter.
Congress leaders Jairam Ramesh, Pawan Khera, and Neeta D’Souza have all received the notice.
The notice demanded an unconditional apology as well as the withdrawal of the allegations levelled against her daughter.
Irani had previously dismissed Congress’s allegation against her daughter calling it malicious. Her 18-year-old daughter, she claims, is a first-year college student who does not own a bar.
She claimed that her daughter is being targeted because of her mother’s outspoken criticism of Congress President Sonia Gandhi and party leader Rahul Gandhi.
