Voting Underway for Champawat by-polls, CM Dhami’s Fate to be Decided

Champawat, 31st May. Voting is underway for the by-election to the Champawat assembly seat in Uttarakhand.

Voting for Champawat by-elections started on Tuesday morning.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, who is contesting the election, asserted that Champawat “will create history” with 100 per cent voting.

CM Dhami, who had lost from Khatima in the State Assembly elections held in February, is contesting from Champawat seat to become an MLA.

As per the Constitution, Dhami needs to meet this requirement within six months of being sworn in.

“I extend my greetings to every voter from Champawat for the by-elections being held today. People have started coming to the polling centres. A new history of Champawat will be created today by 100 per cent voting in the by-elections,” said Dhami.
