PM Modi lays the groundwork for a number of development projects at Banas Dairy Sankul

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is in Gujarat for a three-day visit, inaugurated Banas Diary’s new complex and potato processing plant in Diyodar, Banaskantha district.

PM Modi stated at the event that the development initiatives at Banas Dairy will empower farmers and boost the rural economy. “We can see here how a cooperative movement can help the Aatmanirbhar Bharat campaign,” he said.

In addition, he will lay the groundwork for the WHO Global Centre for Traditional Medicine (GCTM) in Jamnagar. On this occasion, Mauritius’ Prime Minister, Pravind Kumar Jugnauth, and World Health Organization Director-General, Dr. Tedros Ghebreyesus, will both be present.

GCTM will be the world’s first and only global outpost centre for traditional medicine. It will become a global wellness hub on a global scale.

Modi will also dedicate to the nation the Banas Community Radio Station. This Community Radio Station was created to provide farmers with important scientific information about agriculture and animal husbandry. The radio station is expected to reach over five lakh farmers in approximately 1,000 700 villages.
The Prime Minister will open the Global AYUSH Investment and Innovation Summit in Gandhinagar on Wednesday. The Summit will help to uncover investment opportunities and will boost innovation, R&D, the start-up ecosystem, and the wellness industry. Modi will also attend the Adijati Maha Sammelan in Dahod, where he will inaugurate and lay the groundwork for a number of development projects worth approximately Rs. 22,000 crore. More than two lakh people are expected to attend the Sammelan.
