New Delhi, 23rd March: India’s largest airline IndiGo on Monday announced the appointment of aviation veteran Aloke Singh as its Chief Strategy Officer, in a key leadership move following recent changes at the top.
The appointment comes less than two weeks after the sudden resignation of former CEO Pieter Elbers, as the airline looks to strengthen its strategic direction.
In an official statement, IndiGo said Singh will lead long-term strategic planning and oversee enterprise-wide transformation initiatives aimed at accelerating growth, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing competitiveness in the global aviation market.
Singh will work closely with the leadership team on cross-functional priorities, focusing on agility, customer experience, and sustainable value creation.
IndiGo Managing Director Rahul Bhatia said Singh brings a strong combination of strategic insight and operational expertise.
“His deep understanding of the aviation ecosystem will be crucial as we build a more agile and future-ready organisation,” Bhatia said, adding that Singh will initially report to him before transitioning under the new CEO once appointed.
A seasoned industry professional, Singh previously served as Managing Director and CEO of Air India Express and has held senior leadership roles at Air India and Oman Air.
