Iran announced a major leadership change. Ayatollah Sayyed Mojtaba Khamenei, the second son of the late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has been chosen as the country’s new Supreme Leader by the Assembly of Experts. The announcement was followed by celebrations in parts of Iran even as fresh missile strikes were reported.
