New Delhi, 6th March: The Ministry of Rural Development, in collaboration with MY Bharat, will launch a nationwide digital campaign titled ‘VB-G RAM G Youth Digital Campaign’ from March 6 to promote awareness about the Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Rural Employment and Livelihood Mission (Rural) Act, 2025.

The campaign, themed “Viksit Bharat–G Ram G: Youth Power, Progress of Panchayats,” aims to involve young people across the country through interactive activities such as quizzes, video challenges and creative competitions.

Officials said the initiative seeks to transform awareness about the rural employment law into a nationwide digital movement led by youth participation.

‘60 Seconds for My Village’ competition
As part of the campaign, a national short video competition titled “60 Seconds for My Village” will be launched on March 6.

Youth between the ages of 15 and 29 years will be able to create and submit a 30 to 60 second video in any Indian language explaining how the Act can contribute to village development, employment generation and livelihood promotion.

Participants can record the videos using mobile phones, cameras or animation tools and submit them online through the MY Bharat portal.

Each participant will be allowed to submit only one entry.

Promoting ideas for rural development
The competition will encourage participants to present creative ideas on themes such as rural employment opportunities, women’s empowerment, self-reliant villages and the role of the Act in achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047.

All participants will receive digital certificates, while outstanding entries will receive special recognition and an opportunity to interact with the Union Minister for Rural Development and senior ministry officials.

Focus on youth participation
The campaign aims to mobilise young citizens to contribute ideas and creativity for rural development.

The VB-G RAM G Act, 2025 increases the statutory guarantee of wage employment for rural families from 100 days to 125 days per financial year and focuses on inclusive development, convergence of schemes and stronger delivery of welfare programmes.

Officials said the digital campaign will help spread awareness of the Act while encouraging youth to actively participate in shaping the future of rural communities.
