New Delhi, 6th March: President of India Droupadi urmu has accepted the resignation of C. V. Ananda Bose as Governor of West Bengal and approved a major reshuffle of Governors and Lieutenant Governors across several states and Union Territories.

Under the new appointments, R. N. Ravi has been appointed Governor of West Bengal.

Key gubernatorial appointments
According to the official announcement, Shiv Pratap Shukla has been appointed Governor of Telangana.

Jishnu Dev Varma will take over as Governor of Maharashtra.

Senior BJP leader Nand Kishore Yadav has been appointed Governor of Nagaland.

Lt. General (Retd.) Syed Ata Hasnain has been appointed Governor of Bihar.

Changes in Tamil Nadu and Himachal Pradesh
Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar will discharge the functions of Governor of Tamil Nadu.

Meanwhile, former Ladakh Lieutenant Governor Kavinder Gupta has been appointed Governor of Himachal Pradesh.

New Lieutenant Governors for Delhi and Ladakh
Vinai Kumar Saxena has been appointed Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh.

Former Indian diplomat Taranjit Singh Sandhu has been appointed Lieutenant Governor of Delhi.

Officials said the appointments will take effect from the dates the respective appointees assume charge of their offices.
