Ajmer, 28th Feb: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday launched a nationwide Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination campaign and unveiled development projects worth nearly ₹17,000 crore in Ajmer, asserting that his government remains committed to all-round development.
Addressing a public gathering, the Prime Minister said the HPV vaccination drive, aimed at preventing cervical cancer among girls, marks a significant step toward empowering “Nari Shakti.” He underlined that the health of women strengthens families and society, adding that the campaign reflects the government’s focus on preventive healthcare.
“Today, I had the privilege of launching the nationwide HPV vaccination campaign from Ajmer, along with the inauguration and foundation stone laying of several projects and the distribution of appointment letters to the youth,” he said.
Big Push to Infrastructure and Jobs
The Prime Minister inaugurated and laid foundation stones for projects spanning roads, electricity, water supply, health and education sectors. He said these initiatives would improve public convenience and generate employment across the state.
More than 21,000 appointment letters were distributed to newly recruited youth during the programme, with Modi describing it as a “new beginning” for Rajasthan’s young population.
Highlighting the “double-engine government,” he said Rajasthan’s heritage and development are being taken forward together.
River Linking, Solar Expansion
Referring to irrigation and water security, Modi said the river-linking campaign initiated by his government would significantly benefit Rajasthan. He cited the Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal and Yamuna-Rajasthan link projects as transformative steps for farmers in Jhalawar, Baran, Kota and Bundi districts.
On renewable energy, the Prime Minister said Rajasthan’s abundant sunlight is turning into a source of income for citizens. Under the PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme, households are receiving financial assistance to install rooftop solar panels, with many families witnessing near-zero electricity bills.
“A very significant role is being played by the PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme. This scheme has the power to change Rajasthan’s destiny,” he said.
Global Recognition and Defence Strength
Modi also spoke about India’s rising global profile, citing the recent AI Summit hosted in Delhi and his foreign engagements. He lauded the Armed Forces for decisive actions against terrorism in recent years.
Concluding his address, the Prime Minister reiterated his vision of “Developed India from Developed Rajasthan,” calling for accelerated efforts to transform the state into a hub of opportunity and growth.
