Tel Aviv, 25th Feb: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Israel on Wednesday for a State Visit and was personally received at the airport by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his spouse, Mrs. Sara Netanyahu.
In a special gesture, Prime Minister Netanyahu welcomed his Indian counterpart with ceremonial honours on arrival in Tel Aviv.
Following the reception, the two leaders held a brief one-on-one meeting ahead of scheduled bilateral engagements.
At his hotel, Prime Minister Modi was accorded a warm and enthusiastic welcome by members of the Indian community and representatives of the Jewish Indian diaspora. Cultural performances by Indian and Israeli artistes marked the occasion, reflecting the enduring friendship between the two nations.
The visit is expected to further deepen the strategic partnership between India and Israel across key sectors.
