New Delhi, 25th Feb: The Ministry of AYUSH has invited applications for the Prime Minister’s Awards for Yoga – 2026, recognising outstanding contributions to the promotion and development of Yoga at national and international levels.
Guided by the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Yoga has witnessed expanded global outreach and public engagement in recent years. The awards seek to honour individuals and institutions whose sustained efforts have strengthened Yoga’s global impact and inspired wider participation.
Award Categories
The awards will be presented in two categories:
Category I: Individuals (National/International)
- Two awards
Category II: Institutions (National/International)
- Two awards
Each awardee will receive a trophy, a certificate and a cash prize of ₹25 lakh. The felicitation ceremony will be held during the International Yoga Conference.
Eligibility Criteria
The awards aim to recognise exemplary and sustained contributions in the field of Yoga.
Applicants or nominees must:
- Have rich experience and deep understanding of Yoga
- Be at least 30 years of age (for individual category)
- Have a minimum of 10 years of service with an impeccable track record in promoting and developing Yoga
Application Timeline
Applications opened on February 21, 2026, and the last date for submission is March 21, 2026. The deadline may be extended by up to 15 days, if required.
Eligible individuals and institutions can apply through the National Awards Portal at www.awards.gov.in within the stipulated timeframe.
