New Delhi, 25th Feb: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will undertake a State Visit to Israel from February 25 to 26 at the invitation of his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu.

In his departure statement issued before leaving for Tel Aviv, the Prime Minister described India and Israel’s relationship as a robust and multifaceted Strategic Partnership that has witnessed remarkable growth in recent years.During the visit, Prime Minister Modi will hold detailed discussions with Prime Minister Netanyahu aimed at further expanding cooperation in areas such as science and technology, innovation, agriculture, water management, defence and security, trade and investment, and people-to-people ties.

He will also meet Isaac Herzog, President of Israel, and exchange views on regional and global developments of mutual interest.

In a landmark moment, Prime Minister Modi will become the first Indian Prime Minister to address the Knesset, Israel’s Parliament. The address is expected to underline the strong democratic and parliamentary traditions shared by the two nations.The Prime Minister will also interact with members of the Indian diaspora in Israel, acknowledging their role in strengthening bilateral ties and fostering enduring friendship between the two countries.

Expressing confidence ahead of the visit, the Prime Minister said the trip would further consolidate bilateral relations, set new goals for the Strategic Partnership, and advance a shared vision of a resilient, innovative and prosperous future.
