New Delhi, 19th Feb: Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah on Thursday paid homage to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on his birth anniversary, remembering him as a symbol of courage, strategy and unwavering commitment to Swaraj.

In a post on X, Shah said Shivaji Maharaj took the pledge of establishing Hindvi Swaraj at a young age and remained dedicated throughout his life to safeguarding Dharma.

He said Shivaji Maharaj awakened in the nation an eternal resolve to live and die for Swadharma, Swaraj and Swabhasha. According to Shah, the Maratha ruler united all sections of society and built a formidable army devoted solely to protecting the nation and its cultural heritage.

The Home Minister said Shivaji Maharaj’s strong will, indomitable courage and extraordinary strategic acumen are rarely seen in history, and continue to inspire generations.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is widely regarded as one of India’s greatest warrior kings and a pioneer of people-centric governance and military organization.
