Chennai, 11th Feb: B. Ashok Jain has written to the party’s Tamil Nadu leadership with a set of suggestions aimed at strengthening the organisation ahead of the 2026 Assembly elections, copying senior leaders National President Nitin Nabin & National General Secretary BL Santosh on the communication.
The letter was addressed to state organising secretary Prashobkumar, with copies marked to BJP national general secretary (organisation) B.L. Santhosh and BJP National president Nitin Nabin. Mr Jain is a Senior leader of BJP ,former member of Executive Committee Tamilnadu BJP & also former state Treasurer of ABVP in 1979-84.
In his communication, Jain outlined a 15-point framework focusing on character, integrity, transparency, and closer engagement with party workers. He urged leaders at all levels to treat party posts as responsibilities rather than privileges.
Jain stressed the need for accessibility of leaders to karyakartas through personal interaction, social media, and direct communication. He also called for rebuilding trust within the organisation and ensuring prompt attention to workers’ grievances and suggestions.
Among his key recommendations were strict background checks on individuals joining the party from other organisations and immediate suspension of any leader or worker found involved in illegal or corrupt activities.
He also emphasised financial transparency, quarterly evaluation of leaders’ performance, and maintaining decorum in public conduct, including on social media. Jain suggested avoiding extravagance, promoting simplicity, and curbing lavish expenditure within the party.
The senior leader Mr Jain highlighted the importance of respecting former leaders and long-serving karyakartas, while urging broader outreach to all sections of society as a core organisational principle.
The suggestions come as political parties in Tamil Nadu begin shaping strategies for the 2026 Assembly elections, where the BJP is seeking to expand its organisational base in the state.
