Kharar (Mohali), 6th Feb: A massive public meeting was organised in Kharar on February 4 to provide detailed information about central government schemes implemented by the BJP-led government at the Centre. The event witnessed a large turnout, with people gathering in significant numbers to express support for the party.
The rally was attended by senior state leaders, including Punjab BJP working president Ashwini Sharma, vice-president Subhash Sharma, general secretary Sardar Parminder Singh Brar, and several other office-bearers of the state unit.
A large number of women from Kharar and Kurali also participated in the event under the leadership of Mohali district BJP Mahila Morcha president Mili Garg.
Addressing the gathering, Ashwini Sharma raised questions over the policies and functioning of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party. He urged people to support the BJP’s development agenda and welfare initiatives.
Mili Garg, while speaking at the event, highlighted the special provisions made for women in Budget 2026. She appealed to the public, especially women voters, to strengthen the BJP in the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections.
During the programme, Sardar Ranjit Singh Gill presented a traditional siropa and a framed picture of Sri Harmandir Sahib to Ashwini Sharma as a mark of respect.
