Satya Pal Jain Calls Guru Ravidas a Saint of Entire Humanity

Chandigarh, 1st Feb: A grand programme marking the birth anniversary of Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas was organised at PGI Chandigarh, with participation from political leaders, academicians, doctors and social activists.
Former Chandigarh MP and Additional Solicitor General of India Satya Pal Jain attended the event as the chief guest and paid floral tributes to Guru Ravidas Ji. Addressing the gathering, Jain recalled the saint’s teachings and said Guru Ravidas belonged not to any one caste or community but to the entire humanity.
Quoting Guru Ravidas’ famous verse — “Aisa chahoon raj main, jahan mile saban ko ann; chhot-bado sab sam basain, Ravidas rahe prasann” — Jain said the saint’s vision of equality, justice and social harmony remains deeply relevant in contemporary times. “Guru Ravidas Ji devoted his life to the welfare of society and gave a timeless message of unity and human dignity,” he said.
The event was also attended by Chandigarh Mayor Saurabh Joshi, former senior Deputy Mayor Dilip Sharma, Chandigarh Congress president Harminder Singh Lucky, retired DSP Vijay Pal Singh, AAP Chandigarh OBC Cell president Avtar Singh Saini, councillor Sachin Galav, along with several professors, advocates, journalists and social workers.
Members of the managing committee of Shri Guru Ravidas Bhawan, PGI Chandigarh, thanked all guests and participants, stating that such programmes strengthen the values of social harmony, equality and brotherhood preached by Guru Ravidas Ji.
