President Murmu Inaugurates Amrit Udyan, Opens to Public from Feb 3

Rashtrapati Bhavan’s iconic gardens to welcome visitors till March 31 with free entry via online booking only

New Delhi, 1st Jan:
 President of India Droupadi Murmu on Sunday graced the opening of the Amrit Udyan Winter Annuals Edition 2026 at Rashtrapati Bhavan, marking the start of the much-awaited public viewing of the iconic gardens.

The Amrit Udyan will be open to visitors from February 3 to March 31, 2026, six days a week, from 10 am to 6 pm, with the last entry allowed at 5 pm. The garden will remain closed on Mondays for maintenance and on March 4 on account of Holi.

Free Entry, Online Booking Mandatory

Entry to Amrit Udyan is completely free, but visitors must book their slots only through the online portal. No on-the-spot booking facility will be available this year. Booking for a particular day will close at 10 am on the previous day. Tickets can be booked at:  https://visit.rashtrapatibhavan.gov.in/

Special Days for Select Categories

The gardens will be exclusively open for special categories on designated days:

  • March 3: Defence Personnel
  • March 5: Senior Citizens
  • March 10: Women and Tribal Women’s SHGs
  • March 13: Divyangjan
Entry, Transport and Visitor Route

All visitors will enter and exit through Gate No. 35 of the President’s Estate, near North Avenue. To facilitate easy access, a shuttle bus service will operate every 30 minutes from Central Secretariat Metro Station between 9.30 am and 6 pm, with the last bus departing at 4 pm.

The designated visitor route will include Bal Vatika, Plumeria Garden, Banyan Garden, Bonsai Garden, Babbling Brook, Central Lawn, Long Garden and Circular Garden.

New Attractions This Year

Along with tulips and a wide variety of roses, visitors will be able to experience the Babbling Brook, a cascading water stream, and the Banyan Garden, featuring specially designed reflexology paths.

Basic amenities such as drinking water, toilets and first-aid facilities will be available along the route. Visitors are allowed to carry mobile phones, handbags, electronic keys and water bottles.

In addition to Amrit Udyan, Rashtrapati Bhavan and the Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum will remain open for public visits from Tuesday to Sunday, while the Change-of-Guard Ceremony can be witnessed every Saturday at the Forecourt.
