New Delhi, 31st Jan: President of India Droupadi Murmu on Saturday extended warm greetings to fellow citizens on the eve of the birth anniversary of Guru Ravidas Ji, recalling his enduring contribution as a saint, thinker and social reformer.
In her message, the President said Guru Ravidas Ji conveyed the timeless values of equality, social justice and love through his teachings. She noted that by following the path of simplicity and moral discipline, he worked tirelessly to eliminate discrimination based on caste and religion.
President Murmu said that the thoughts and ideals of Guru Ravidas Ji remain relevant even today and continue to guide society towards embracing human values. She stressed that his teachings inspire compassion, harmony and inclusiveness, which are essential for building a strong and united nation.
