New Delhi, 28th Jan: The All India Congress Committee (AICC) on Wednesday announced the appointment of Wasim Khan as the Chairman of the Minority Department of the Goa Pradesh Congress Committee with immediate effect.
The decision was approved by the Hon’ble Congress President, according to an official press release issued by AICC General Secretary K.C. Venugopal.
“The Hon’ble Congress President has approved the proposal for the appointment of Shri Wasim Khan as the Chairman of the Minority Department of the Goa Pradesh Congress Committee, with immediate effect,” the release said.
The appointment is aimed at strengthening the party’s minority outreach and organisational structure in Goa ahead of upcoming political engagements.
The order was issued from the AICC headquarters at 24, Akbar Road, New Delhi, and takes effect immediately.
