New Delhi, 28th Jan: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday praised President Droupadi Murmu’s address to both Houses of Parliament at the commencement of the Budget Session, describing it as comprehensive, insightful and reflective of India’s development journey.
The Prime Minister said the President’s address clearly outlined the direction for the nation’s future, while highlighting the progress achieved in recent years. He noted that the speech captured the spirit of building a Viksit Bharat and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to reforms, innovation and good governance.
“The emphasis on building a Viksit Bharat was perfectly captured, reflecting our shared aspiration of building a strong and self-reliant nation,” the Prime Minister said, adding that the address also reaffirmed the collective resolve to further accelerate the Reform Express.
According to Shri Modi, the President’s address covered a wide range of themes, including sustained efforts for farmers, youth, the poor and the downtrodden, and underscored the government’s focus on inclusive development.
In a post on X, the Prime Minister said the President’s address holds special importance in parliamentary traditions as it spells out the policy direction and collective resolve that will guide the nation’s developmental journey in the coming months.
