New Delhi,23rd January :In an evening that blended diplomacy, culture, and literature, Walnut Publication marked the launch of two new books by Col. Vineet Kumar at the iconic Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. The event, held on January 18 at the International Events Corner in Hall-4, brought together diplomats, writers, readers, and cultural enthusiasts to celebrate storytelling that crosses borders and genres.
The two titles unveiled—Rutas Mayas, Raíces Indias and Aerodynamics of Love—reflect contrasting yet complementary facets of the author’s literary vision. While one explores ancient civilizational connections through travel and geopolitics, the other turns inward, examining the emotional landscapes of love and human relationships.
Adding gravitas to the ceremony was the presence of His Excellency Ambassador Omar Lisandro Castañeda Solares, Ambassador of Guatemala to India, and His Excellency Ambassador Mohan Krishna Shrestha, former Ambassador of Nepal to France. Both dignitaries addressed the gathering, underscoring the enduring power of culture and literature in strengthening ties between nations.
Ambassador Castañeda Solares spoke warmly about the evolving relationship between India and Guatemala, noting that cultural exchange often precedes and strengthens diplomatic engagement.
He praised Rutas Mayas, Raíces Indias for shedding light on the deep and frequently overlooked parallels between the ancient Mayan civilization and India’s rich civilizational heritage. According to him, the book serves as a reminder that despite geographical distance, civilizations can share spiritual symbols, architectural echoes, and philosophical undercurrents.
Ambassador Mohan Krishna Shrestha reflected on India’s longstanding and intimate relationship with Nepal, shaped by shared history, open borders, and cultural continuity. Drawing from his own diplomatic journey—documented in his memoir Three Decades in Diplomacy—he emphasized that literature plays a crucial role in preserving collective memory and fostering mutual understanding. He noted that books such as these help build emotional bridges that formal diplomacy alone cannot achieve.
At the heart of the evening was Col. Vineet Kumar’s work. Rutas Mayas, Raíces Indias (translated as Mayan Routes, Indian Roots) is a geopolitical travelogue that traces the author’s journey through Central America. Through vivid observation and historical reflection, the book explores surprising similarities in rituals, symbolism, cosmology, and worldview between the Mayan and Indian civilizations. It invites readers to reconsider established narratives of history and cultural evolution.
In contrast, Aerodynamics of Love offers a deeply personal literary experience. Moving away from geopolitics and travel, the book delves into the fragile mechanics of human emotion—how love rises, falters, and reshapes lives. Through reflective prose, Col. Kumar examines relationships with sensitivity and insight, making the work resonate with readers across age groups and backgrounds.
Representatives of Walnut Publication highlighted the publisher’s commitment to nurturing meaningful voices and stories that matter. Known for supporting authors across genres and geographies, Walnut Publication has steadily built a reputation for quality publishing and global outreach.
The dual launch at Bharat Mandapam was more than a book release—it was a celebration of ideas, shared heritage, and the enduring relevance of literature in a rapidly changing world. As conversations flowed long after the formal proceedings, the evening reaffirmed that books remain powerful instruments of connection—between cultures, nations, and hearts.
