New Delhi, 19th Jan: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday paid heartfelt tributes to the brave personnel of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) on the occasion of its Raising Day, lauding their courage, dedication, and selfless service in safeguarding lives during emergencies.
In a message posted on X, the Prime Minister extended his “deepest appreciation” to the men and women of the NDRF, describing them as the nation’s first line of defence in times of calamity. He said their professionalism and resolve remain steadfast even in the most challenging circumstances.
“Always at the forefront when a calamity strikes, NDRF personnel work tirelessly to protect lives, provide relief and restore hope under the most difficult situations,” Modi wrote. He emphasized that their commitment reflects the highest standards of public service.
The Prime Minister also highlighted that over the years, the NDRF has evolved into a globally respected institution in disaster preparedness and response, earning recognition beyond India’s borders for its swift and effective interventions.
He concluded by saluting the force and tagging the official NDRF handle, @NDRFHQ, acknowledging their vital role in strengthening India’s disaster resilience.
