Pichhore, Shivpuri, 10th Jan: Union Communications Minister and Guna MP Jyotiraditya Scindia on Saturday announced the launch of two new India Post services — Speed Post 24 and Speed Post 48 — aimed at ensuring guaranteed delivery of postal articles within 24 and 48 hours respectively.
Addressing a local programme in Pichhore of Shivpuri district, Scindia said the new services would set a new benchmark for fast, reliable and time-bound delivery across the country’s postal network, marking a major step in the modernisation of India Post.
On the occasion, the Union Minister also inaugurated the renovated Pichhore Sub-Post Office, which has been upgraded at a cost of ₹2 lakh. He further laid the foundation stone and performed Bhoomi Pujan for a new Sub-Post Office building, to be constructed at an estimated cost of ₹1.11 crore.
Scindia said the upgraded infrastructure and new time-bound delivery services reflect the government’s commitment to improving last-mile connectivity, strengthening public service delivery and enhancing the customer experience of India Post in both urban and rural areas.
