Rameswaram, 30th Dec: Vice-President C. P. Radhakrishnan on Tuesday addressed the valedictory function of Kashi Tamil Sangamam 4.0 at the sacred town of Rameswaram, describing the initiative as a living symbol of India’s timeless spiritual and cultural unity.

Highlighting the enduring bond between Kashi and Tamil Nadu, the Vice-President said the connection goes beyond history and represents a deep civilisational and spiritual continuum that has united Bharat for thousands of years. He noted that such cultural exchanges reaffirm shared heritage and strengthen national integration.

Quoting Mahakavi Subramania Bharati, Radhakrishnan said the Kashi Tamil Sangamam reflects the poet’s vision of a united and confident India. He added that Bharati’s dream is taking concrete shape through the focused initiatives and far-sighted leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Emphasising the Prime Minister’s vision of Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat, the Vice-President said initiatives like the Sangamam foster national integration through cultural exchange, mutual respect and shared traditions, guiding the nation steadily toward the goal of Viksit Bharat.

The valedictory function was attended by Tamil Nadu Governor R. N. Ravi, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of State L. Murugan, MLA Nainar Nagendran, IIT Madras Director Prof. V. Kamakoti, and other dignitaries.
