New Delhi, 25th Dec: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the national programme marking Veer Baal Diwas on December 26 at around 12:15 pm at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, where he will also address the gathering.

The Government of India is organising participative programmes across the country to mark the occasion, aimed at educating citizens about the extraordinary courage and supreme sacrifice of the Sahibzades—Baba Zorawar Singh Ji and Baba Fateh Singh Ji, the sons of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji.

Activities will be held in schools, Anganwadi centres, child care institutions and other educational platforms, and will include storytelling sessions, recitations, poster-making and essay-writing competitions. Online activities will also be conducted through the MyGov and MyBharat portals.

Veer Baal Diwas is observed on December 26 every year following the Prime Minister’s announcement on January 9, 2022, during the Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, to commemorate the martyrdom of the Sahibzades, whose sacrifice continues to inspire generations.

Awardees of the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar will also be present at the national programme.
