New Delhi, 22nd Dec: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary and Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Monday.
The meeting, held in the national capital, is understood to have focused on key development initiatives in Bihar, Centre–State coordination, infrastructure projects and welfare schemes. Sources said issues related to ongoing and upcoming central assistance for Bihar, including roads, railways, rural development and social sector programmes, were discussed.
The interaction assumes political significance as it comes amid continued coordination within the NDA and ahead of major policy and administrative decisions concerning the state. Nitish Kumar has been holding a series of meetings with central leaders in recent days, indicating renewed engagement between the Bihar government and the Centre.
The Prime Minister’s Office shared details of the meeting on social media platform X, stating that the Bihar CM, Deputy CM and Union Minister met Prime Minister Narendra Modi today.
Political observers see the meeting as part of efforts to strengthen Centre–State cooperation and ensure smoother implementation of development projects in Bihar.
