New Delhi, 20th Dec: Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah on Saturday extended greetings to the personnel of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) and their families on the occasion of the force’s Raising Day, praising their commitment and sacrifice in the service of the nation.

In a post on X, Shah said the SSB has always made the country proud by safeguarding India’s frontiers and standing shoulder-to-shoulder with citizens during times of crisis. He highlighted the force’s vital role not only in border security but also in humanitarian and disaster-response efforts.

“From safeguarding our frontiers to standing shoulder-to-shoulder with citizens in times of crisis, the Sashastra Seema Bal has always made the nation proud,” the Home Minister said.

Shah also paid homage to the martyrs of the SSB who laid down their lives in the line of duty, stating that their sacrifice would never be forgotten and would continue to inspire future generations.

The Sashastra Seema Bal is one of India’s central armed police forces entrusted with critical responsibilities related to border management and internal security, contributing significantly to national safety and resilience.
