President Murmu to Visit Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Telangana

Tour from December 16–22 to include religious, cultural and administrative engagements

New Delhi, 15th Dec: President of India Droupadi Murmu will undertake a visit to Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Telangana from December 16 to 22, 2025, during which she will participate in a series of religious, cultural and official engagements.

On December 16, the President will inaugurate the 1066th Jayanti celebrations of Adi Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeshwara Shivayogi Mahaswamiji at Malavalli in Mandya district of Karnataka, marking an important spiritual and cultural occasion.

On December 17, she will visit Tamil Nadu, where she will perform darshan and aarti at the Golden Temple in Vellore. Later the same day, the President will arrive at Rashtrapati Nilayam in Bolarum, Secunderabad, for her winter sojourn.

During her stay in Telangana, the President will inaugurate the National Conference of Chairpersons of Public Service Commissions on December 19. The conference is being organised by the Telangana Public Service Commission in Hyderabad and will focus on strengthening institutional governance.

On December 20, President Murmu will address a conference titled ‘Timeless Wisdom of Bharat: Pathways of Peace and Progress’, being organised by Brahma Kumaris Shanti Sarovar in Hyderabad to mark its 21st anniversary.

The multi-state visit reflects the President’s engagement with India’s spiritual heritage, administrative institutions and cultural traditions across the southern region.
