Lucknow, 15th Dec: Anamika Singh, an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre (2004 batch), has taken voluntary retirement from service after she did not receive a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for deputation to the central government.

According to sources, Singh had sought central deputation but was not granted the required clearance, following which she opted for voluntary retirement. Her resignation from active service has since been accepted by the competent authority.

Anamika Singh previously served as Director in NITI Aayog, where she was involved in policy formulation and inter-ministerial coordination. During her career, she has held several important administrative assignments and is regarded within official circles as a competent and proactive officer.

Her exit adds to a growing list of senior civil servants opting for voluntary retirement in recent years, often citing professional considerations related to deputation and career progression.

No official comment has been issued so far by the Uttar Pradesh government regarding the circumstances surrounding the denial of the NOC.
