New Delhi, 12th Dec: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives in a tragic bus accident in Alluri Sitharama Raju district of Andhra Pradesh. The mishap claimed several lives and left many injured, prompting immediate sympathy and support from the Prime Minister.

In his message, PM Modi conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayers for the swift recovery of the injured.

The Prime Minister also announced financial assistance under the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF)—₹2 lakh for the next of kin of each deceased and ₹50,000 for those injured.

Sharing the message through the PMO handle on X, PM Modi said:

“Pained by the loss of lives due to a bus mishap in the Alluri Sitharama Raju district of Andhra Pradesh. My thoughts are with the affected people and their families during this difficult time. Praying for the speedy recovery of the injured. An ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh from PMNRF would be given to the next of kin of each deceased. The injured would be given Rs. 50,000.”

Rescue and relief efforts are underway as authorities work to support the affected families in the aftermath of the accident.
