Delhi Set for Maharashtra Food Festival from Tomorrow
Three-day celebration at New Maharashtra Sadan to showcase authentic regional cuisine and cultural performances

New Delhi, 11th Dec: Preparations for the three-day Maharashtra Food Festival 2025, beginning tomorrow at New Maharashtra Sadan in the national capital, have reached their final stage. Resident Commissioner and Secretary R. Vimala personally inspected the venue on Thursday to review arrangements ahead of the event.
During her inspection, she visited the kitchen area, food stalls, cultural programme stage and children’s activity zone, issuing necessary instructions to ensure smooth conduct of the festival.

Scheduled from 12 to 14 December at Kasturba Gandhi Marg, the festival will be inaugurated in the presence of renowned international chef Vishnu Manohar. Visitors will get to savour an array of iconic dishes representing Maharashtra’s rich culinary heritage, including Savji mutton rassa, Malvani seafood, Kolhapuri tambda-pandra rassa, misal pav, puran poli, shev bhaji, naan kalya, tarri pohe and more.
Women’s self-help groups from Satara, Kolhapur, Jalgaon, Pune, Amravati and Raigad districts have also set up stalls, bringing with them unique homemade products from their regions.
Alongside the food offerings, the festival will host cultural performances, magic shows and recreational activities for children. A special information counter by the Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) will also be available for visitors.
Organisers said the objective of the festival is to offer Delhi residents a glimpse into Maharashtra’s aromatic and diverse food culture. Resident Commissioner R. Vimala and Resident Commissioner (Investment) Sushil Gaikwad invited the public to attend and enjoy the culinary celebration beginning tomorrow.
