New Delhi, 10th Dec: The Yogi Adityanath government has rolled out a hard-hitting blueprint to conduct what it calls a “surgical strike” against infiltrators, signalling a major tightening of Uttar Pradesh’s internal security framework. The strategy, revealed in an official statement on Tuesday, is part of the Chief Minister’s zero-tolerance approach toward illegal entry and associated criminal networks.
The plan includes a systematic campaign to identify infiltrators and relocate them to high-security detention centres designed with “impenetrable” safeguards. The government said the move aims not only to reinforce security but also to ensure that welfare schemes reach rightful beneficiaries without diversion or fraud.
“This decisive step will enhance security and strengthen transparency,” the statement said, stressing that the new push is central to what Yogi Adityanath has termed a “surgical strike” against infiltrators.
Officials said the blueprint will significantly strengthen the state’s law-and-order environment, particularly in border districts where illegal activity is often concentrated. With enhanced coordination between police and security agencies, the government expects a notable decline in crime linked to infiltrators.
The initiative also aims to restore fairness in the job market. According to the statement, identifying and removing infiltrators will “open new avenues of employment” for local youth and prevent misuse of public resources.
The government said the crackdown will streamline administrative processes such as passport issuance, ID verification and licensing by eliminating fraudulent identities. Cases of fake IDs and document-related crimes are expected to drop, further enhancing public trust in governance.
“With Adityanath’s firm stance, the crime rate is projected to decline while police agencies will be better equipped to curb illegal activities,” the statement added.
Uttar Pradesh has already launched an intensive verification drive targeting illegal immigrants, including Rohingyas and Bangladeshis. Officials emphasised that infiltrators consume public resources meant for citizens and distort welfare distribution.
The government said the campaign reflects UP’s commitment to safeguarding its internal security architecture and ensuring welfare benefits reach genuine recipients. As enforcement expands, authorities expect stronger law-and-order conditions across the state.
