Hyderabad, 8th Dec: The Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025 began on Monday at Bharat Future City in Hyderabad, positioning the state as a rising global investment and innovation hub. The event, held on a 100-acre campus in Kandukur, Ranga Reddy district, drew extensive participation from political leaders, policymakers, global corporations and innovators.
Governor Jishnu Dev Varma inaugurated the summit in the presence of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, who also unveiled the Telangana Thalli statue earlier in the day. The Chief Minister visited several exhibition stalls before the formal programme commenced.

Officials confirmed the presence of delegates from 44 countries, with 154 international representatives attending alongside nearly 2,000 domestic and foreign guests. Participants included representatives from the Republic of Korea, the World Bank, Amazon, IKEA and Trump Media & Technology. Nobel Laureates Kailash Satyarthi and Abhijit Banerjee, Karnataka Deputy CM D.K. Shivakumar, and actor Nagarjuna Akkineni were among the prominent speakers.
In his address, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy unveiled an ambitious roadmap to transform Telangana into a $1 trillion economy by 2034 and a $3 trillion economy by 2047. He said the blueprint is rooted in the principles of constitutional democracy, social justice and inclusive growth, drawing inspiration from leaders such as Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
Highlighting Telangana’s rapid progress since its formation in 2014, he noted that despite having just 2.9% of India’s population, the state contributes nearly 5% to the national GDP. By 2047, he said, Telangana aims to contribute 10% to the national economy.
The Chief Minister introduced the CURE–PURE–RARE zoning framework to drive balanced regional development. The model envisions CURE as the core urban economy focused on services, PURE as the peri-urban region for manufacturing and industrial corridors, and RARE as the rural agricultural zone strengthening farm and allied sectors.
Drawing parallels with China’s Guangdong province, one of the world’s most dynamic economic regions, Revanth Reddy said Telangana has adopted global best practices from Japan, Germany, South Korea and Singapore. “This vision may look difficult today, but we will achieve it. What was once a dream has now become a shared responsibility. With your partnership, Telangana Rising is unstoppable,” he said.
AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge extended support in a letter, describing the summit as a strong reflection of Telangana’s commitment to innovation, inclusive development and global engagement. He expressed confidence that the state will emerge as a major global destination for investment and education under the Telangana 2047 plan.

Key focus areas at the summit included green mobility, positioning Telangana as a global education hub, the development of semiconductors and frontier technologies, upgrading urban infrastructure and fostering emerging manufacturing ecosystems.
The summit will continue on Tuesday with a series of policy discussions, investment dialogues and sector-specific blueprints aimed at accelerating Telangana’s long-term economic transformation toward the 2047 vision.
