New Delhi, 7th Dec: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives in a fire mishap in Arpora, Goa. Extending his condolences to the bereaved families, the Prime Minister also wished a swift recovery for those injured in the tragic incident.
In a message shared on X, the Prime Minister said the fire accident was “deeply saddening” and conveyed his solidarity with all those affected. He also announced an ex-gratia payment from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) to support the families impacted by the tragedy.
The Prime Minister informed that he had spoken to Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant to take stock of the situation. He assured that the State Government is providing every possible assistance to the victims.
“The fire mishap in Arpora, Goa is deeply saddening. My thoughts are with all those who have lost their loved ones. May the injured recover at the earliest. Spoke to Goa CM Dr. Pramod Sawant Ji about the situation. The State Government is providing all possible assistance to those affected,” PM Modi wrote.
