Jammu, 27th Nov: A 19-year-old man has been arrested by Jammu Police for his alleged involvement in terror activities, officials said on Thursday. The accused, originally from Reasi district, was picked up from the Bathindi area where he had been staying.

According to police, the preliminary investigation indicates that the youth was radicalised online and was allegedly planning to carry out a terror act. Officials said he had been in phone contact with handlers based in Pakistan and other foreign locations.

The arrest was made in connection with an FIR registered under Section 113(3) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS), pertaining to terrorist activity, at Bahu Fort police station.

Police have seized his digital devices, which are now being examined for further evidence. A detailed interrogation of the accused is underway, and officials said more revelations are expected as the investigation progresses.
