New Delhi, 26th Nov: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday paid tribute to the framers of India’s Constitution on the occasion of Constitution Day, acknowledging their vision and foresight that continue to strengthen the nation’s journey towards a Viksit Bharat.

The Prime Minister said the Constitution accords the highest priority to human dignity, equality and liberty. While it grants citizens a wide range of rights, he stressed that it also reminds them of their duties, which must be fulfilled with sincerity and commitment. These duties, he said, form the foundation of a strong and vibrant democracy.

Reiterating the nation’s resolve to uphold Constitutional values, the Prime Minister urged citizens to strengthen these principles through their actions and contribute to India’s progress and unity.

In a post on X, the Prime Minister wrote, “On Constitution Day, we pay tribute to the framers of our Constitution. Their vision and foresight continue to motivate us in our pursuit of building a Viksit Bharat. Our Constitution gives utmost importance to human dignity, equality and liberty. While it empowers us with rights, it also reminds us of our duties as citizens… Let us reiterate our commitment to strengthening Constitutional values through our actions.”

Constitution Day, observed on 26 November, marks the adoption of the Constitution of India in 1949 and honours the contribution of its architects.
