Ayodhya, 25th Nov: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat paid homage to Guru Teg Bahadur Ji on his 350th martyrdom anniversary at Gurdwara Brahmakund Sahib in Ayodhya on Sunday. Bowing before the holy shrine, he remembered the Guru’s supreme sacrifice and hailed his life as an everlasting message of courage and righteousness.
Bhagwat said Guru Teg Bahadur Ji’s sacrifice for the protection of Dharma, justice, human values and rights stands as a guiding light for all generations. “Sanatan Dharma stands on the foundation of sacrifice and renunciation. We have always been blessed with lives that inspire us forever,” he said.
Reflecting on the Guru’s legacy, the RSS Chief noted that Guru Maharaj lived the very ideals he preached at a time when the survival of Dharma itself appeared uncertain. “He did not merely tell us; he lived and demonstrated how life should be dedicated to Dharma,” he said.
Bhagwat added that society remains eternally indebted to those who impart wisdom on how life should be lived. He said transformation cannot happen instantly but society gradually adopts the path shown by such great souls. “I consider myself blessed to have had the fortune of visiting this sacred place,” he said.
Gurdwara’s head granthi Giani Gurjeet Singh Khalsa welcomed Bhagwat with a traditional ‘siropa’. He said the construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya has fulfilled a long-cherished dream of Sanatani communities across the world.

Highlighting the historical significance of Gurdwara Brahmakund Sahib, the granthi informed that Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Guru Teg Bahadur Ji and Guru Gobind Singh Ji had all visited this revered site. The occasion also featured Shabad Kirtan and the distribution of Karah Prasad.
