WASHINGTON – Realme on Thursday has launched the GT 8 Pro and GT 8 Pro Dream Edition in India, featured Snapdragon 8 Elite, Ricoh-tuned cameras, and a 7,000mAh battery. Prices start at ₹72,999, with premium features and high-end performance for tech enthusiasts.
Realme has officially launched the Realme GT 8 Pro and its ultra-premium sibling, the Realme GT 8 Pro Dream Edition, in India, taking its flagship lineup to a whole new level, media reported.
It has been a significant announcement for Realme in the country, with the GT 8 Pro becoming the second smartphone in India after the OnePlus 15 to feature Qualcomm’s new 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.
The brand promises a complete package for tech enthusiasts: blazing performance, high-end design, and of course, photography capabilities tuned by the iconic Ricoh GR camera system.
The Realme GT 8 Pro firmly positions itself in the premium segment, but it does bring exciting options for the buyer. Its base GT 8 Pro with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage starts at ₹72,999, while the top-of-the-line 16GB RAM + 512GB storage variant is priced at ₹78,999.
GT 8 Pro Dream Edition, adding that bit more luxury with its textured rear panel inspired by Aston Martin designs. This edition is available only in a 16GB + 512GB configuration, priced at ₹79,999.
Both models go on sale from November 25 through Flipkart and Realme’s official website.
The standard GT 8 Pro comes in Diary White and Urban Blue, while the Dream Edition stands alone as a collector’s-style handset.
Various benefits have been announced for the early buyers of the standard GT 8 Pro, including a free deco set, bank discounts up to ₹5,000, and six-month EMI options. On the other hand, Dream Edition features exclusivity and comes with a 12-month EMI plan instead of launch discounts.
Realme has pulled out all the stops in terms of display. The GT 8 Pro has a 6.79-inch QHD+ BOE Q10 Flexible AMOLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate, HDR support, and a peak brightness of 2,000 nits in High Brightness Mode.
Colors pop thanks to 100% DCI-P3 coverage, and this screen delivers sharp, crystal-clear visuals at a pixel density of 508ppi.
Realme has introduced a swappable rear camera module for the first time in the series. Users can now switch between three different camera island styles to add their personal touch to the looks of the phone. Protection comes courtesy of Gorilla Glass 7i, ensuring that the screen can take day-to-day wear and tear with ease.
Realme GT 8 Pro is a powerhouse: sporting Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 that’s paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.1 storage, the chipset clocks in a blazing 4.6GHz and is appropriately supported by an Adreno 840 GPU for high-end gaming and heavy-duty multitasking.
It has installed a 7,000 sq mm vapor chamber cooling system, while a 7,000mAh battery ensures the phone keeps running through even the most demanding days. The charging is fast and convenient thanks to 120W SuperVOOC fast charging that gives users hours of power in just minutes.
GT 8 Pro also carries IP66, IP68, IP69 certifications for water and dust resistance making it a reliable companion for commutes, road trips, or when caught in unexpected weather.
