PM Modi Condoles Loss of Indian Lives in Medina Accident
Embassy and Consulate instructed to extend full support; officials coordinating with Saudi authorities

New Delhi, 17th Nov: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday expressed deep sorrow over the deaths of Indian nationals in a tragic accident in Medina, Saudi Arabia. Extending heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, the Prime Minister also prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured.
In a message shared on X, the Prime Minister said he was “deeply saddened by the accident in Medinah involving Indian nationals”, adding that the government was ensuring all necessary support to those affected.
He said India’s Embassy in Riyadh and the Consulate in Jeddah were providing full assistance to the injured and coordinating with local authorities. “Our officials are also in close contact with Saudi Arabian authorities,” he stated.
The Ministry of External Affairs has activated support channels through its missions, which are working to facilitate relief, medical help and communication with the families of the victims.
Officials said they are closely monitoring the situation as efforts continue to support the affected Indian community in Saudi Arabia.
