Patna, 15th Nov: Union Minister and Guna MP Jyotiraditya Scindia on Friday expressed gratitude to the people of Bihar for delivering a historic mandate to the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the Assembly elections. In a post on X, he said the voters once again gave a clear and decisive mandate, reaffirming their trust in the NDA.
Scindia wrote that the people of Bihar have overwhelmingly approved the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s model of good governance. He said the result shows that the state has firmly rejected caste-based politics, jungle raj and what he termed “anarchy-driven politics.”
Calling it a verdict against family rule and corruption, he said the electorate has sent a strong message signalling the end of the so-called “lantern era.” According to him, the mandate reflects the public’s aspiration for development, stability and security, strengthening the path of a new and progressive Bihar.
Scindia said this victory represents the triumph of a vision in which a developed Bihar plays a key role in building a developed India. The massive mandate, he added, makes it clear that the people want continuity in development rather than political upheaval.
Bihar has given the NDA a record win this election. The alliance secured 202 out of 243 seats—far above the majority mark of 122. The Mahagathbandhan managed to win only 34 seats.
The BJP and JD(U) had contested 101 seats each. Of these, the BJP won 91 and the JD(U) 83. Among other allies, the LJP secured 19 seats, while HAM and RLM together won 9 seats. With this overwhelming tally, the NDA has formed the new government in Bihar.
