VP C.P. Radhakrishnan to Visit Karnataka on November 9
VP to attend Jain commemoration at Shravanabelagola and JSS Academy convocation in Mysuru
- VP to pay tribute to Jain saint Acharya Shri 108 Shanti Sagar Maharaj at Shravanabelagola
- To attend the installation of Acharya’s idol and naming of the Fourth Hill
- Later, to address students at JSS Academy’s 16th Convocation in Mysuru
- Visit includes prayers at Chamundeshwari and Cheluvanarayana Swamy temples

New Delhi, 8th Nov: Vice-President C.P. Radhakrishnan will undertake his maiden visit to Karnataka after assuming office, on November 9, 2025, the Vice-President’s Secretariat announced on Saturday.
During his visit, the Vice-President will participate in the Commemoration of Parampujya Acharya Shri 108 Shanti Sagar Maharaj Ji at Shravanabelagola, Hassan, paying homage to the revered Jain monk and spiritual leader. The event marks the centenary year of Acharya Shri Shanti Sagar Maharaj’s first visit to Shravanabelagola in 1925.
As part of the commemoration, Radhakrishnan will also take part in the Installation Ceremony of Acharya Shanti Sagar Maharaj’s idol and the Naming Ceremony of the Fourth Hill at the historic Jain pilgrimage site.
Later in the day, the Vice-President will attend the 16th Convocation Ceremony of the JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research in Mysuru, affiliated with the Jagadguru Sri Veerasimhasana Mahasamsthana Math, Suttur Srikshetra. He will address the graduating students on the occasion.
Radhakrishnan is also scheduled to visit the old premises of Suttur Math, one of Karnataka’s most prominent monastic centers. He will offer prayers at the Shree Chamundeshwari Devi Temple near Mysuru and the Cheluvanarayana Swamy Temple in Melkote, Mandya.
