New Delhi, 8th Nov: The Delhi Traffic Police has issued a comprehensive advisory ahead of American rapper and singer Akon’s live concert in the national capital on November 9. The event, titled “Akon India Tour 2025”, will be held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium (JLN Stadium) from 5 PM to 10 PM, and a crowd of nearly 10,000 spectators is expected from across Delhi-NCR.

To ensure smooth traffic movement and minimize inconvenience to commuters, elaborate traffic and parking arrangements have been put in place. Spectators can enter the venue through Gate Nos. 13 and 14, while parking facilities will be available at Gate Nos. 7–9 and the SCOPE Complex MCD Parking, both reserved for concertgoers.

Traffic restrictions will be enforced around the JLN Stadium between 4 PM and 11 PM on the day of the event. Heavy Transport Vehicles (HTVs) will not be allowed to ply between JLN Stadium Red Light and B.P. Marg during this period.

Commuters have been advised to avoid B.P. Marg, CGO Complex Road, and surrounding routes due to expected congestion. Emergency vehicles such as ambulances, fire tenders, and police patrols will be allowed free passage but are advised to use alternate routes to avoid delays.

The Delhi Traffic Police has urged the public to use public transport, plan their journeys in advance, and follow on-ground instructions from deployed personnel to ensure smooth vehicular movement around the venue.

Authorities have assured that adequate diversions and traffic regulation measures will be implemented to manage the large turnout and reduce inconvenience to citizens during the event.
