The accident occurred around 4:30 pm when the roadways bus, travelling from Aligarh towards Hathras, reportedly swerved to avoid hitting a motorcycle and rammed into an oncoming tanker. The impact of the collision left several passengers injured, while some jumped off the bus in panic.

Police and local authorities immediately shifted the injured to the Sasni community health centre before referring them to the district hospital. Four of the seriously injured were later moved to another facility for advanced treatment.

District Magistrate Atul Vats and Superintendent of Police Chiranjiv Nath Sinha visited the hospital to meet the injured and directed medical officials to provide them with the best possible care. “The accident occurred when the bus driver tried to save a biker, leading to a head-on collision with the tanker. Twelve injured persons have been brought here, and the deaths of three people have been confirmed,” said Vats.

Two of the deceased were identified as Kuldeep (12), a resident of Tilothi village under the Sasni police station, and Maharaj Singh (50), a resident of Iglas Adda in Hathras. The identity of the third victim, suspected to be the tanker driver or cleaner, is yet to be confirmed.
