Patna, 4th Nov: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday interacted with women workers of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Bihar as campaigning for the first phase of the assembly elections entered its final phase. The virtual interaction, part of the BJP’s “Mera Booth, Sabse Majboot” initiative, aimed to energise women workers and strengthen booth-level voter outreach.
“The NDA government is committed to improving the ease of living for women and empowering them. We have to ensure that the NDA gets the votes of all women,” PM Modi said, expressing confidence that women will play a decisive role in securing a historic victory for the NDA.
Targeting Mahagathbandhan leaders Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav, the Prime Minister urged voters to “give a befitting reply” to those “hurting public sentiments”. He accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of insulting ‘Chhathi Maiya’, a revered deity in Bihar, saying, “Two princes are roaming in Bihar, including one from Delhi who has been insulting Chhathi Maiya.”
Taking a sharp dig at the opposition over “Jungle Raj”, Modi said, “The people of Bihar have made up their mind that this time they are going to make the NDA victorious and break the record of the last 20 years. The people of Jungle Raj will see their biggest defeat. The development of Bihar can only be done under the NDA.”
During an interaction with Shalini Singh, Panchayat chief of Khangaon village, PM Modi stressed the importance of women’s participation in voting. He advised Panna Pramukhs to motivate women to vote early on polling day.
“When metro trains run, women benefit the most. When you meet people, tell them about our manifesto and the mantra of ‘Pehle matdaan phir jalpaan’. The Panna Pramukh should ensure that the women in their Panna cast their votes first,” he said.
Begusarai Mahila Morcha chief Dr. Rekha Ram informed the Prime Minister that BJP workers were arranging vehicles to help women reach polling booths safely. “We are providing vehicles to women to travel and cast votes,” she said.
Dr. Ram expressed strong confidence in the NDA’s victory, crediting the government’s welfare schemes for empowering women. “Women are proudly saying that the double-engine government has changed our lives. We have received free ration, 125-unit free electricity, ₹1,100 senior citizen pension and ₹10,000 business assistance,” she said.
