New Delhi, 2nd Nov: Vice-President C. P. Radhakrishnan on Sunday extended warm congratulations to tennis veteran Rohan Bopanna on the conclusion of his remarkable professional career spanning more than two decades.

In a message, the Vice-President lauded Bopanna’s exceptional achievements and enduring contribution to Indian tennis, noting that he ends his journey with two Grand Slam titles — one each in Men’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles — and four Grand Slam final appearances, twice in both categories.

Commending his record-setting feats, Shri Radhakrishnan highlighted that Bopanna made history as the oldest male Grand Slam winner and the oldest World No. 1 in Men’s Doubles. He praised the tennis icon’s unwavering commitment, discipline, and pursuit of excellence, which continue to serve as an inspiration for generations of sportspersons.
