Raipur, 1st Nov: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday addressed members of the Brahma Kumaris during the inauguration of “Shanti Shikhar”, a modern meditation and spiritual learning centre at Nava Raipur, Chhattisgarh. Highlighting the occasion coinciding with Chhattisgarh’s 25th Statehood Day, he also extended greetings to Jharkhand and Uttarakhand, which mark the same milestone.

“Driven by the guiding principle that the development of states fuels the progress of the nation, we are actively engaged in the mission to build a developed India,” the Prime Minister said, noting the crucial role of spiritual institutions like the Brahma Kumaris in the nation’s moral and social growth.

PM Modi shared his long-standing association with the Brahma Kumaris, recalling various events and initiatives linked to national campaigns such as Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. He lauded the dedication and discipline of its members, describing the institution’s mission as a living embodiment of India’s spiritual strength.

“The concept of world peace is an integral part of India’s fundamental thought,” he said, adding that Indian spirituality not only preaches peace but also provides a path toward achieving it. Modi underlined India’s civilizational ethos of praying for the welfare of all beings, asserting that such compassion defines the nation’s spiritual identity.

Reaffirming India’s proactive role in humanitarian efforts, the Prime Minister said, “Whenever a crisis or disaster strikes anywhere in the world, India steps forward as a trusted partner to offer help, acting as the First Responder.” He further highlighted India’s leadership in global environmental conservation through initiatives like Mission LiFE, One Sun, One World, One Grid, and One Earth, One Family, One Future.

Concluding his address, PM Modi expressed confidence that Shanti Shikhar – Academy for a Peaceful World will emerge as a hub of spiritual empowerment and global harmony. The event was attended by Chhattisgarh Governor Ramen Deka, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, and senior members of the Brahma Kumaris.
