Four Dead, 10 Injured in Midnight Fire at Navi Mumbai Residential Tower

Mumbai, 21st Oct: Four persons, including a six-year-old girl, lost their lives and ten others sustained injuries after a massive fire broke out in a multi-storey residential building in Vashi, Navi Mumbai, shortly after midnight on Tuesday, police said.

According to officials, the blaze erupted around 12:30 am in a flat on the 10th floor of Raheja Residency, MGM Complex in Sector 14, and quickly spread to the 11th and 12th floors.

The deceased have been identified as two women, a man, and a young girl, while the injured were immediately rushed to two nearby hospitals in Vashi for treatment.

Upon receiving the alert, 40 fire brigade personnel along with eight fire tenders and police teams rushed to the scene. Firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control by 4 am, preventing it from spreading further in the building.

Authorities said the cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and an investigation is underway.
