New Delhi, 18th Oct: In a strong message to Pakistan, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday said that “every inch of Pakistan’s territory lies within the range of BrahMos”, adding that “what happened during Operation Sindoor was just a trailer.”

Speaking at the BrahMos Aerospace unit in Lucknow’s Sarojini Nagar, where he and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath flagged off the first batch of BrahMos missiles manufactured in the city, Singh asserted that the operation proved victory has become a habit for India.

“Operation Sindoor instilled new confidence among Indians and showed the world the power of BrahMos. It proved that India can turn its dreams into reality,” he said.

The Defence Minister lauded the missile’s indigenous production, calling the Lucknow project “a symbol of India’s growing confidence and capability in defence manufacturing.” He said the initiative reflects the country’s journey towards self-reliance under the ‘Make in India’ mission.

Chief Minister Adityanath said the BrahMos unit represents Uttar Pradesh’s rise as a major defence manufacturing hub under the Defence Industrial Corridor. “With a missile like BrahMos, India not only meets its own security needs but also supports its allies,” he noted.

Under Operation Sindoor, India had targeted terror infrastructure in Pakistan using BrahMos missiles in response to the April 22 terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam that killed 26 people.

Officials said the Lucknow BrahMos facility, inaugurated on May 11, is equipped with modern systems for missile integration, testing, and quality control — a milestone for India’s defence self-reliance.
