PM Modi Launches ₹13,430 Cr Projects in Andhra; Says Google to Build India’s First AI Hub in State

Kurnool, 16th Oct: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday inaugurated, dedicated, and laid the foundation stone for development projects worth around ₹13,430 crore in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. Addressing a large gathering, the Prime Minister said he felt blessed to receive the blessings of Srisailam and pay tribute to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
Reciting a verse from the Dwadasha Jyotirlinga Stotram, Modi said, “I feel blessed to be born in Gujarat, the land of Somnath, to serve in Kashi, the land of Baba Vishwanath, and to receive the blessings of Srisailam today.”
Hailing Andhra Pradesh as a “land of Swabhimaan and Sanskriti,” the Prime Minister lauded its youth for their talent and innovation. “What Andhra Pradesh needed was the right vision and leadership,” he said, commending the leadership of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan.
Highlighting rapid progress under the Union and State governments, Modi said Delhi and Amaravati are working together to ensure accelerated growth. He announced multiple infrastructure projects in roads, railways, electricity, and industry, which he said will “boost connectivity, industrial development, and ease of living.”
On energy reforms, Modi launched a transmission project worth ₹3,000 crore, and inaugurated GAIL’s ₹1,730 crore Srikakulam–Angul Natural Gas Pipeline and Indian Oil’s LPG bottling plant in Chittoor. “From clean energy to total energy production, India is setting new records,” he said.

The Prime Minister also announced that Google will establish India’s first Artificial Intelligence Hub in Andhra Pradesh. “The world today is witnessing the speed and scale of both India and Andhra Pradesh,” Modi said, adding that the AI Hub will include an International Subsea Gateway in Visakhapatnam, making it a global digital hub.
In the defence sector, Modi inaugurated Bharat Electronics Limited’s Advanced Night Vision Products Factory in Nimmaluru, Krishna district, and said the plant would strengthen India’s self-reliance in defence manufacturing.
Modi also praised Andhra Pradesh’s push to develop Kurnool as India’s drone hub, noting that the technology played a crucial role during Operation Sindoor.
He concluded by reiterating his government’s vision for citizen-centric growth. “Our government is committed to making citizens’ lives easier through continuous reforms,” he said, pointing to tax relief, affordable medicines, and healthcare reforms.
