New Delhi, 16th Oct: Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah expressed delight following the Commonwealth Association’s approval of India’s bid to host the 2030 Commonwealth Games in Ahmedabad.
In a post on X, Amit Shah wrote, “A day of immense joy and pride for India. Heartiest congratulations to every citizen of India on Commonwealth Association’s approval of India’s bid to host the Commonwealth Games 2030 in Ahmedabad. It is a grand endorsement of PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji’s relentless efforts to place India on the world sports map.”
Shah lauded Prime Minister Modi’s initiatives in creating world-class sports infrastructure and nurturing a nationwide pool of sports talent, which have positioned India as a prominent sports destination globally.
The Commonwealth Games 2030 in Ahmedabad are expected to showcase India’s capabilities on the international sports stage and boost infrastructure, tourism, and talent development across the country.
