New Delhi, 15th Oct: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday encouraged women booth workers in Bihar to address him as bhaiya (brother) instead of sir, highlighting women as his “biggest strength, shield, and inspiration.”

Interacting virtually with BJP workers in Bihar via the NaMo app, PM Modi exuded confidence that the state will celebrate another Diwali on November 14 by marking the NDA’s electoral victory. He urged women to vote in groups, sing songs, and beat thalis, calling it a celebration of democracy.

“This time, Bihar is in a mood to celebrate the NDA’s victory. Bihar’s sisters and daughters will play a major role in this,” he said. He also asked booth workers to host special programmes on Bhai Dooj (October 23) and honour ‘lakhpati didis’ and ‘drone didis’ in their local areas.

PM Modi stressed the importance of grassroots campaigning, urging booth workers to reach every household and raise awareness about Centre and state government schemes, giving the slogan: “Ekjut NDA, Ekjut Bihar – Isse banegi sushashan ki sarkar” (United NDA, United Bihar – the government of good governance will be formed).

The Prime Minister warned of the dangers of allowing a return of Naxal-influenced “jungle raj” rule and urged BJP workers to take youths to exhibitions highlighting past atrocities during previous regimes, referencing RJD rule in Bihar.

Meanwhile, the BJP released its second list of 12 candidates for the upcoming assembly polls, fielding folk singer Maithili Thakur from Alinagar and former IPS officer Anand Mishra from Buxar.

The 243-member Bihar Assembly elections are scheduled for November 6 and 11, with vote counting on November 14.
